Composition Notes

When I was writing this composition I had a specific storyline in mind...

0:00 There's a large battle taking place; struggle, fighting, steel clashing against steel.
0:50 We find our hero valiantly fighting enemies all around and they are succeeding.
1:20 Then something takes them by surprise and they're struck down. They're discouraged and the end seems near.
1:42 It would be easy to give up, but a spark within their heart sets their will alight and they gather their strength and get back on their feet.
2:20 They fight with renewed strength and determination and the enemy is ultimately defeated.
2:56 As the army embarks on the journey home there's a feeling of peace and accomplishment.
3:46 Upon arriving home the hero's victory becomes the victory of the whole community and a joyful and triumphant ceremony takes place. Love prevails.

Meditation/Visualization Exercise

Find a place you are struggling in life, could be an external thing or an internal one. As you listen to the music, imagine yourself as the hero fighting the battle against your perceived "enemy". When you're winning, feel that. When you loose hope, feel that. When you gather your strength, feel that. When you're ultimately victorious, feel that. When you return to your community and share your wisdom simply by your presence, feel that.
