Welcome! I’m Eric Turnnessen — a composer who tells cinematic stories through the power of orchestral music.
Hero’s Victory is an original orchestral piece inspired by the classic arc of the hero’s journey — from struggle and doubt, through descent and resilience, to the ultimate emergence into triumph. It’s a piece about finding inner strength when all seems lost, and remembering the light that called you forward in the first place.
Recorded live at the legendary Synchron Stage Vienna in July 2025, this performance features a 60-piece orchestra I had the privilege of conducting during the Hollywood Music Workshop, guided by the mentorship of veteran film composer and orchestrator Conrad Pope. The video presents the final mastered track alongside immersive footage from the session.
Step inside the journey of Hero’s Victory — from its earliest inspirations to the triumphant final cut. This collection brings together every post, video, and reflection from the road leading up to the recording day, through the orchestration process, and into the post-production work of mixing, mastering, and video creation.
